SAVE the Internet

‘SAVE’ the Internet is a deceitful online platform, hiding behind the idea of doing good for the Internet. It asks the user to help save the Internet by simply signing a petition with their personal details. With only a basic landing page and minimal details, it is enough to get users to sign up without questioning what exactly are they signing up for. Only after completing the transaction, do they realise that they have been deceived and that ‘SAVE’ actually stands for ‘Support Abusive Virtual Existence’. Users are presented with a receipt for their data, a physical reminder that they should be cautious online as nothing really comes free.

The Internet is one big psychological experiment and we are the by-products.
